Pigeonwood House is set in rural tranquility in the North Downs above Folkestone and is the original farmhouse of the local area. The house dates from 1769 and the surrounding landscape has barely changed since then.
Being in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the views are spectacular, covering the surrounding countryside then across the sea to France.
Many guests return for its homely, peaceful atmosphere.
Although only seven minutes from the Channel Tunnel and fifteen minutes from Dover, we are able to show visitors a few aspects of the pervading beauty of East Kent.
We are ideally situated for walkers, being only 300 yards from the North Downs Way and the Saxon Shore Way; visiting the Garden Coast, Canterbury (20 minutes) and all the gardens and castles in the vicinity. A short distance from Etchinghill on the North Downs Way.
Parking: Being 160 yards from the nearest lane, on a private driveway, we have safe, secure off-road parking for cars and bicycles.

The house is shown from the front and is set among fields and woods. The other photo shows the guests' living room, which, like the bedrooms, has spectacular views over the downs and across the sea to France.
The two front bedrooms, both of which are en suite. The right-hand room is the family room. In addition, we only use cotton bed linen in all rooms.
